I want to connect an old webcam I have lying around to my MacBook so that I can set it up for the timelapse function but I don't know how to get iMovie to recognise the webcam. Any suggestions? It's an old Logitech webcam and plugs into the usb. I've tried plugging it in, waiting a while and then clicking the switch to see if it is added under the iSight but nothing yet. Does anyone else know what I can do?

Does the camera have a FireWire port? I don't think you could load movies to iMovie HD using USB.
Nope it's not going to work. Only with firewire, so that means you should buy a new camera.
