imovie HD still photos won't time right

Please help. I have a different problem everytime I make a movie! This time I'm only using still photos (set to music). I have changed all the stills to the right time to time it to my music. However, the red line in the clips viewer does not correctly show what is happening in the main screen. Also, most of my photos are the same length, but some will show extra long and cut the next photo very short. I've tried changing the times, deleting and reimporting the clips, saving and reopening. I can't get these pictures to show for the correct amount of time. Please help! (ASAP)
