I want to use a slide from Keynote in iMovie. I export the slides to PDF, and then convert it to PNG for use in iMovie. When iMovie displays it, the text looks awful. The source keynote slide was at 800*600. That didn't work so I put it at 640x480. It still looks awful. Anyone know how to make it look better?

How awful are we talking?

I've noticed pictures looking horrid in iMovie, but once you export the movie back to your DV Camera, or to a DVD, they clear up and look very nice.

The standard DV format used in QuickTime does some nasty things to text when viewed non-interlaced on a computer monitor. Especially if horizontal parts of the text are only one pixel tall. Hook it up to a camcorder/TV and see if it looks any better.
