IMovie help please

ok so I am trying to make this movie on Imovie. I put in the song. But it still has the original backround sound. ( Me talking into the camera) haha. So I was wondering if there is a setting or something I can change to make it only have the mp3's sound and not me talking in the backround thanks!

There are two ways to do it. Extract the audio for the clip you are working with and then a) lower the volume for the recorded audio, or b) delete the recorded audio altogether.

I work in iMovie HD, so this might be different if you are using iMovie '08, but you can toggle audio waveforms in View--> Show Audio Waveforms.

How and what program do I use to extract the audio? I am downloading Imovie Hd now if that will make any difference.
