iMovie help, video clips won't transfer

whenever i try to publish my video from iMovie (youtube, quicktime,etc.) , the video clips within the movie won't transfer. Instead, the picture before the clip just stays there, while the audio of the clips plays. Any suggestions/feedback/advice?
