I wanna make montage's like you find on youtube. Like re-edit a movie to a song and such. My problem is when i import a file it makes it HUGE. Is there any other ay to do this? any guide that could help me, cause as of now it seems like a big hassle to even make a little project

iMovie works in DV format, which creates very large files. About 12GB per hour of video. That's normal. When you export it, you can go back to a smaller size.

Nothing you can do about it if you're using iMovie.
