iMovie how to edit clip

I'm trying to edit a small portion of my video. I've selected the portion that I need and dragged it up to the top as shown on apple's website, but I get the exclamation point shown in my pic below??

I haven't seen this before, but it looks like the file got corrupted somehow. Do you have the clip archived? Check to see that it isn't corrupted, and if not, re-import.

It looks like it can't find the source clip, or the project is locked.

Plug in a drive, and try dragging the project to it...
