How do I shorten an audio clip, (song), in iMovie HD?

In the old versions of iMovie, you could just click on the right end of the clip and drag it to shorten/compress it. Doesn't seem to be working in iMovie HD.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm actually using a PC laptop (gasp!) right now, so I can't give detailed steps, but you need to go in the menu and deselect the volume level display for the audio track. (The audio level line in the track). Once that is off, you should be able to adjust the track length as you described.
