iMovie/iDVD help!

hello,

I need to send in an audition video for something, and I am transferring my DV tape from my camcorder to the Mac.

But I was wondering, is it possible, with all the cool Mac software, to NOT have fancy menus? I just need to video to play straight.

Also which of the 2 softwares lets you edit/cut video clips?? HELP! I am not so good with my Mac!

I appreciate any help.

iMovie lets you edit, cut etc.

Once you create a new iDVD project, just pick one of the themes and then pick the tree view button. Once you are in tree view, on the left side, you'll see a box that says, "Place the movie that you want to start playing automatically" or something of that sort. If you drag and drop your movie on top of that box, it should do what you need.
