iMovie is Exporting Original File with No edits

Every now and then, iMovie exports the original file with no edits. I can't figure out why it does this. Anyone else have this problem?

Never heard of that before. If you export with the clip selected in the Event Library rather than having clicked in the Timeline, it will export that selected clip.

Maybe im occasionally exporting with the event footage selected. I wouldnt have thought that mattered. I was careful to make sure timeline was selected this time. That was prolly all that was happening. Thanks!

I'd never thought about it until your question. Having tried it, if you have a clip in an Event selected, that's what will be exported.

I was having this same issue as well. Then I did a Select All from the Edit menu and then did the export, which included all my edits.

I just hit this problem. Very daft UI / design desicions by Apple here.

Export should ALWAYS default to exporting the whole project including edits. Only a crazy person would expect that feature to export the unedited original clips, even if it was selected, that should require a different intentional action. What a waste of my time to find the answer to that.
