Hi,
Hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having with iMovie '08 (7.1.4).
I've shot some video on my iPhone 4, and imported it (through iPhoto). 720p/30fps. The video plays back great from the .mov file in Quicktime Player etc., but I've imported it into iMovie to do some further editing and to export as an .mp4 so I can play it on my TV through my PS3.
I've exported from iMovie using Quicktime, and selected these settings:
MP4
H.264
tried data rates of both 15000/20000 kbps
image size 1280x720 HD
frame rate "current" (presumably 30fps)
key frame automatic
audio 44.1khz AAC LC
streaming off.
The file outputs correctly as a 720p mp4, but when played back both on my Mac (Quicktime player) and on my PS3 on a USB drive, the video playback is quite jerky, compared to the original video (plays smoothly on my Mac, unable to test on PS3 as it doesn't support .mov files).
I've looked in the settings in iMovie, and all I can find is PAL 25fps or NTSC 30fps; it's currently on PAL as I'm in the UK. Is this correct, or should it be in NTSC? Even so, at 25fps it should still be smooth shouldn't it?
Any help would be appreciated...
