iMovie Karaoke?

Hi,

Using garage band, i can use a mic or external instrument (Guitar) and sing/play along to a backing track, but is it possible to do this and record the video?

Obviously, i can make an imovie with a video and sound input, but i can't actually listen to the movie backing track whilst recording.

I'm sure there must be a way, but i just can't work out how to do it.

iMovie karaoke

When you record an audio track, you have the option via a tic box to enable to sound of the original recording. However, I don't think you can play the audio while recording video. Try running iMovie for the recording while playing the audio in iTunes or another program like audacity or VLC. That was the only way I could make it work.
