I uploaded footage from a Canon XL1 camera into my Mac using Firewire 400. The raw footage is being stored on a LaCie d2 Quadra external hard drive. Initial editing with iMovie seemed to go fine. However, within the project itself, iMovie will not save all the clips.

It keeps coming up with a pop-up window saying {"nameofclip" cannot be opened and is being skipped} Several clips come up with that message even though I was able to upload them and manipulate them in iMovie. The program just will not save anything rendered using those clips.
Please HELP!!!! :mad::confused:

Things I've tried that didn't work:
1) Opened new project and started over.
2) Repaired disk permissions via Disk Utility App.
3) Re-installed iMovie using original Mac "bundled software" disk (as suggested by employee at the Apple Store.)
4) Checked the time/date configuration on the camera.

Is it a firewire driver issue? I have no idea at this point. I'm to the end of my rope! Any help would be massively appreciated!!!
