iMovie needs more memory?

Trying to save my project to my hard drive as usual. I have never seen this warning before installing the new iMovie. I didn't like it so I went back to the last version but the new one is still installed. do I need to uninstall the new iMovie?

Try disabling app nap for iMovie. You can do this in the inspector. I had similar issues when exporting from FCPX and disabling it solved my problem.
