iMovie not exporting

I have a 128GB Macbook Pro and I am trying to export a movie using iMovie, and I am exporting to a flash drive and when I try to open it it says "Quicktime Player can not open file.mp4. To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More."

Any help?

It will help if you could tell us which version of iMovie & QuickTime you are using.

iMovie 10.0.6 and Quicktime 10.4.
