There have been a couple of times when iMovie (and sometimes iDVD) locked-up on my week old Snow Leopard installation. I have a large iMovie project that I created on Leopard, and was trying to modify it the other day. I remember I was trying to put some chapter markers, when iMovie just froze up.
It froze up when it asked me that my published project has changed, and that I will have to publish again later. I clicked ok, and then that dialog box never went away.
What was more strange was that the ActivityMonitor wasn't able to be select that process as well. As in, I opened ActivityMonitor, but can't select the iMovie process, so I can force kill.
I had to do the shift + Command + Escape (I think it's that, don't remember) to force kill iMovie. iDVD was running in the background, and it was frozen too, so had to kill it as well.
Must have something to do with Open CL. Who knows!
I think it sent a report to Apple.
Posting here so you can watch out.
