I am having issues with photos that I am importing from iPhoto into an iMovie project. I have my iMovie project open and on the right side I click the little photo button that opens my iPhoto gallery. The photos are there, but once I drop into the movie project, they are not, or they are wrong ones, etc. I have tried quitting both iMovie/iPhoto, all of my updates are up to date, but otherwise I have never run into this problem before.

Have you tried starting a new project and moving pictures into it? If that doesn't work you could also try moving the photos out of iPhoto into a folder in finder and then dragging the photos directly into the iMovie timeline from there... This happens from time to time, it's a bit glitchy.
