iMovie pains :(

Hi all,

My sister's Santa Rosa Macbook (2.2ghz C2D, originally purchased Jan 2008) has been having issues with iMovie when inserting a transition into a slideshow - see screenshot below:

She tried upgrading to the newest version of iMovie since the App store launched today, but no dice. Same deal. Any ideas? We've already tried re-installing iMovie as the screenshot suggested.

That crash log may have some hints if you scroll down a bit, but likely not.

Do any other apps have issues?

I'd try the Console.app in the Utilities folder to look for any messages sent there. There is a chance you may gain some more information from that.

Also, is it just one project that is having the issue, or are new or old ones showing the same problem?

Make sure all of your apps have been updated by running software update. I'd recommend a fresh install of iMovie should fix it.
