Hello! I am putting together a project using iMovie '08 with video as well as still photo's. When I put the pictures in with no underlying video, I can edit with no problem. When I put a picture in "over" a video, I can't edit at all. The pictures frequently are not cropped properly in these circumstances, and I can't find a way to do this. I have tried editing them down in iPhoto before I put them in, but that is minimally effective. Any suggestions would be fantastic! Thanks very much!

Get a better iMovie? Honestly, I don't even know if that's possible in iMovie 8 since they removed so many features.
Recommend you upgrade to iMovie11. It's only a few £/$ from the App Store, and can do so much more that 8 or 9.
