I am trying to create a slideshow in imovie 4.0.1, with good resolution jpegs. The images in the window look rather pixelated, and when I save it as a quicktime movie to put up on Youtube, the image quality looks really bad.

I am using OS 10.4.11, with a 1 GHz processor. I would love to upgrade to some better stuff, but I cannot afford anything right now. I'm making the slideshow to feature some of my photography, to try and get some work.

I have tried creating a slideshow in iphoto, and it looks good, but there is not enough control with transitions (I am going to be putting music with the images, and I need to do several different transition types, to go along with whatever song I use).

I am somewhat unfamiliar with Macs, so I don't know if it is just a question of changing a setting somewhere or what.
