iMovie problems, video looks horrible

Hi, I am trying to make a video using iMovie. I have taken mpeg4 footage using "GameCam" from counter strike source. The footage looks perfect on my PC, but when I bring it over 2 my macbook pro, the video looks horrible in Quicktime and in iMovie. It's all scratchy and gets really distorted. HELLP!!
