Hi, I made a 12 min. movie for work with iMovie 11. It was mixed with a voiceover and background soundtrack all with iMovie (now that it does it so well). The project will be online and people at work will use their laptops to watch so it has to work on every laptop. The project sounds great when I play it back on any computer (I made a DVD with iDVD for the final result) that has external speakers (or headphones) plugged in. However, the voice track gets muffled and garbled when it plays through the laptop speaker.

I'm not a sound guru but I'm guessing it has to do with the channels I recorded in iMovie. The export (and import) of the project was at 44.1khz for the best quality.

I'm at a loss...any help would be great.

Well it seems that when it plays through one speaker the VoiceOver gets muffled but plays fine in stereo. I tried exporting in mono but it does the same thing. Don't know what to do.
