iMovie Project won't open cos QT couldn’t parse: -43

I've been working on a project for about a week and of course didn't save a backup. It had been working fine until yesterday but today when I tried to open, it wouldn't even give an error message until I dragged it into iMovie and it gave an error "imovie project can't be imported: "QuickTime couldn’t parse it: -43". Is there any other way to address this? One last thing; Yesterday I modified some of the clips with Slick Motion Special effects...
