Most of the time when I try to add transitions in iMovie, it won't let me drag them down to the timeline between the clips. They won't even start to drag. Yet other times, I have no difficulty dragging them, and it behaves perfectely as it should.

Is there some condition that is preventing the transitions from being dragged down to the time line. It shows the preview, but even if I say OK, I don't see it being added to the movie.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I'm completely baffled here.

Where you click on the Transisiton may have something to do with it. Try clicking the little icon in front of the transition.

Also, try selecting clip-view, rather than the time-line view, and drag to there.

Next would be, in clip view, click the clip that you want the transisition to fall after, and then click the transition once to highlight it, then I believe there is an 'Add' or 'Apply' button at the bottom of the transition list. Click that and see if it adds it to the timeline after the selected clip.

Hope one or all of these help.
