iMovie refuses to launch (PLEASE DELETE MODS)

Have just received a retail copy of iLife 08 everything loaded up Ok,except iMovie when i try to launch it i get the "the application iMovie quit unexpectedly" box appear, i keep trying to launch it but no joy.Ive tried uninstalling it & reinstalling it but it still wont launch this is what it shows

Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Creating more than one Application'

their is a load more but that seems to be the main point,have tried repair permissions

EDIT ok got it to work just needed to install the updates ( weired )

DELETE IF NEED BE MODS
