Canon Optura 30
iLife '05
Panther
iMac G5 (756MB RAM)
connected via FireWire
Have successfully imported numerous times.
When I plug everything up, iMovie will control the camera, but won't import. Just blue screen.
Then it starts acting squirrely (the play/stop/ff/rew buttons fade in and out).
I've checked the date/time on the camera, zapped the PRAM, quadruple checked all of the connections and still no go.
I tried importing the same footage with the same camera with the same firewire cable on a friend's iBook purchased last month, and it works fine.
Do I need to re-install iMovie? If so, what's the general procedure?
I've got a three-month old son who's screaming for more video to be taken of him, so any help is appreciated.
