Hi,

I am trying to record sounds from my mini-disk on to my mac, and have managed to do this using imovie. The problem is that even with the volume input and edited to it's highest, it's still pretty low. So I was going to try and record through my stereo to increase the sound output of the md, anyway this isn't really the problem.

What I'd really like to know: is it possible to record say a 30 minute recording from my md and separate into several tracks? I already had a go, using the help guide, but with no real success.

Save yourself the aggravation and use the proper software. Bias Peak is excellent and has a free demo. SoundStudio is easy to use as well, but I've had some problems with it. Audacity is supposed to be very good (and I think it's free) but I've never used it. I'm sure you can search for any of these at versiontracker.com.
