iMovie + sharing via the public folder.

I was working on an iMovie project on my sister's iMac which has iMovie '07. I want to transfer it to my computer so I put it in the public folder and dragged it to my desktop. Now, I have a folder on my desktop instead of the iMovie project icon. Inside the folder is ____.iMovieProj, ___~.iMovieProj, Media (folder), Shared Movies (folder), and Cache (folder). How can i properly transfer my project into my iMovie '09?
