imovie slideshow question....

hi,
i'm trying to import a movie into imovie. Each time i click on 'import movie' however, all my movies are grayed out and not selectable. does anyone know why? do they need to be in a certain format?

Yes. iMovie can't import WMV or AVI files, unless you convert them first.

its an .mpg --- shouldn't i be able to import that???
