iMovie Sound Effects

Hey I was wondering if someone can help me out with my question. So I have downloaded some sound effects from the web, but I don't know how to add them to the sound effect folder in iMovie. So what I have done was added a folder in iTunes called sound effects..but of course when listening to music, when the song changes well you hear the sound effect.

Can someone direct me in how to add sound effect that I download from the web to the iMove Sound Effect folder. The sound effect format is mp3 and I'm using the newest version of iMovie and iTunes and an i5 mac book pro.
