Imovie stopped working, how to get it back?

Today when I went in to edit some stuff nothing was working. It would open, but thats it.

So I deleted imovie, downloaded it, but now now it wont work.

I've tried a few different versions, and for some reason or another it says it won't work for my Mac.

How can I get my precious imovie back?

What Mac OS X version do you have, what iMovie version do you had, what iMovie versions did you try, and what is the exact message ( Can you make a screenshot and attach it to your next post? )?
And how did you delete iMovie in the first place?
