imovie template for video podcast

I'm setting up a video podcast for my sports team and I'm wondering if there is anyway I can set up a template?
I mean, the intro will always be the same, the ident(using picture in picture) is always going to be in the same place, is there anyway to set it up so I can just open a template, insert the new footage and then export?

I'm using imovie 09, but I hope to upgrade to '11 soon, if that makes any difference?

I guess it's a long shot, but I though I would ask.

Imovie '11 has Movie trailers that make excellent intro's. It also has like a news type template with a lower third that should be great for what your doing as well.

would creating a video how you want it..save it...then everytime you make a new video open that project and do a save as... name it...then make sure you are working on the new version...
or just create the opening, closing etc. and export it out in full... then just import the clip into imovie.
