Hi, I'm running iMovie 09 on OSX 10.6. I recently returned to Vancouver from a trip to England and some latin-American countries. When editing film from the trip I notice that the iMovie timestamps are all based on my current timezone, not the local timezone where the clip was recorded.
For example, I recorded a clip of the sunset in London around 9pm. Here in Vancouver, when I set my Mac to use the Pacific time zone (8 hours earlier), iMovie timestamps this clip as having occurred at 1pm - which is rather ridiculous.
I would simply change the timezone on my mac until I finish the movie and publish it, but I am using clips from many different timezones, so this doesn't work.
Is there a way to have the timestamps always refer to the local timezone, rather than the current one?
Thanks.
