iMovie to Youtube, quality lowers?

Anyone know what the problem here is. I have some nice quality files in my iMovie project, but as soon as theyre on youtube, the quality is poor.

I'm making these videos using the World of Warcraft mac recorder and then editing them in iMovies.

But...other peoples uploads are of a far higher quality than mine...they are the same quality as mine before its uploaded.

I think you have to have a special account. Or make it HD. YouTube will still compress it.
