I just bought a Casio EX-V8 camera because it takes H.264 movies that can be watched directly on an iPod with no conversion. The hi-res movies (848x480 30fps) import into iPhoto without a hitch. When I open iMovie '08 to try to import from iPhoto, it doesn't show anything there. So I put the videos on the desktop and tried importing a file. It shows the file as not usable. Does iMovie simply not support this camera? I also tried a 640x480 15fps and it didn't work either. I'll be returning it if I can't get it to work.

In summary:
I buy a camera that takes H.264 .MOV videos. It says "works with iPhoto" on the box.
I try every way I can think of to import into iMovie without converting. Fail miserably.
Come to MacRumors for help.
