iMovie 1.1 without iOS 4.1. The new iMovie requires an upgrade to 4.1, leaving us jailbreakers out in the cold.*

The solution I played with is simple. SSH into your phone or use iFile. Navigate to system/library/core services and select the SystemVersion.plist. Open it and edit (<string>4.0.1</string>) to say (<string>4.1</string>).*

Respring and the iMovie update should appear in your AppStore updates.*

Enjoy!

How do you fix the iMovie white icon issue when you change it back to 4.0.1 because certain Cydia app won't work?!

I haven't changed it back yet, but I have a copy of iMovie 1.01 on my computer. I will test tomorrow by deleting the 1.1 and syncing the 1.01 back onto the phone. Should work just fine.

BTW, what cydia apps don't work?

whats new in imovie update?

can u add more than one song?

Does not appear so, but can loop a song. :-(

Maybe in the next update...

• Ability to split video clips.
• Automatic music looping when video extends beyond music track.
• Scrub to preview clips in Video Browser.
• In-app Tips page that illustrates how to use key features.
• Updated Photos Browser with newest images at top.
• Mute badge to indicate video clips with audio disabled.
• Additional performance and reliability improvements.

What happens if you update the imovie app and you're jailbroken?

Seriously.. I haven't seen anything quirky since I updated....What are the ramifications for updating through the app store?
