imovie video playback

I have been using imovie for awhile. I usually take video at 2k. When I upload to youtube or Vimeo the highest res choice I have is 1080. Is it possible to render a video higher for either youtube or vimeo.

In my experience if the video does not meet the requirements exactly, it is downgraded until it does.
