Hello,

I hope this isn't recurring question - I did a brief search and came up with nothing so here it goes:

I open up iMovieHD (working on a brand new MacBook) and select Import File..., choose some non-dv file and then iMovie starts converting it to .dv.

My question is: where did that newly converted .dv file end up!? I would like to be able to, for exampe, locate it in Finder and delete or move it manually.

THANK YOU to anyone who can help me out!

Inside the iMovie "file" that you saved your movie as. It's actually a container, and if you right click on it you can choose "show package contents" which will reveal the actual files stored within.

Welcome to MR by the way!

If you drag and drop a non-dv file into iMovie's clip viewer, it converts it into dv. Once that process is complete, you can just drag that clip onto the desktop and you'll have a copy. No need to hunt through package contents.
