My iMovie has worked fine. Then I downloaded Audacity to covert old LPs to my iTunes which worked fine. Then I tried making an iMovie recording and when I connected to iSight I got a big pop and no sound through the mic. Suspecting Audacity had taken over the mic, I deleted Audacity, restarted the computer, but no go. Same deal- big pop, and no recording. So I tried external mic- no go there either. I then recorded in garage band to see if mic was working- yes it is. What is the best solution? I have only had my iMac 3 months so am new to it all. Can I delete iMovie and then reinstall. Please advise and many thanks!
