I tried to start iMovie a few days ago from the dock and the icon bounced once and then did nothing. I waited and tried again, nothing. I closed all apps open, nothing. I restarted and tried to open it first, nothing. I then wen to applications and it didn't work. This is my first apple I've had at home, so I am used to tech support being in the next office. Any suggestions?

Yes there are a few things you can try, first, read this thread which is about this very same thing all the way through before doing anything.

This happened to me, and I ended up having to do an archieve install. But now my world book and tony hawk's pro skater (both bundled with eMac)
will not open. So the most permanent solution must be a clean install (which I have yet to get around to).
