iMovie won't transfer from iPad 3 to iMac

Hello all,

This is my first post on Macrumors.

I am having a problem transferring a movie that I made in iMovie on my iPad 3 (iOS 7) to my iMac (late 2013, Mavericks). When I try to do this, an error comes up on the iPad saying that there's not enough disk space to transfer the movie. The iMac has 950 GB available.

Not really, but it is interesting you see the message on the iPad and not the iMac. How much free space is on the ipad?

About 1GB at the time of my attempt.
