iMovie won't upload video from my camera

I have a JVC mini DV camcorder. I have successfully uploaded three videos into iMovie by plugging the camera into my computer using FireWire. A screen pops up where I hit "import" and my footage is recorded into iMovie. Except now I try to upload a fourth video and it stops recording after a minute or so. When it stops I try to click import again, click the file I want the footage to be saved it, but NOTHING HAPPENS.

I don't understand what's going on.
