imovie ?

Hi,I tried to download imovie to my ipad 3 using the ipad however a mess comes up telling me to do it through wifi or via a usb cable through itunes as it's 50mb so to big...I already have imovie on the imac so can I transfer that onto the ipad somehow ? or does it need a new version ?

And if so how do I get it onto the ipad from itunes ? thnx

No, iMovie for iOS is a completely different version. You will need to purchase it for 4.99 USD. The reason you can't buy it while on cellular is the size of the app is bigger than 50 MB. Carriers currently don't want us downloading huge apps over their network so Apple put the 50 MB limit in iOS. At one time, it was 25 MB so at least they have upped it.
