Hi,

I have imported pics and vids from my iPhone and hard drive to iPhoto. But in iMovie, I can only view the vids from my iPhone and not the vids i import from my hard drive. in iPhoto, I can see ALL vids. what's the problem????

You haven't imported the videos into iMovie.

iMovie will scan iPhoto for videos, but you have to let it process the thumbnails. It asks on startup, have you clicked Now?

i imported a lot of directories with photos and videos. I'm sure iPhoto processed the vids as i see the vids in iPhoto. But iMovie can't see them.

But note, I have imported these directories with pics and vids for iPhoto to keep the vids and photos in current directory, as opposed to iPhoto coping it into iPhoto database. But i think regardless, it should work. Especially since iPhoto can see the vids.
