When I try to import a movie in iMovie, the application shuts down. I don't have access to internet with my Mac. My video camera is a JVC Everio HD. Is it possible that the extension changed and I can't import my movies? I am able to work with the movies already in iMovie but can't import new ones.

The extensions are .MOD and .MOI (fichier exécutable Unix).

Plug in the camera, then press the camera icon in iMovie (is this what you were previously doing when it crashes?)
