In iMovie 08 - it used to give you the option to keep the length of the clips either side of the transition you were inserting - or extend the overall length. the advantage of the former option being that you would keep the insertion points and beat markers etc intact but would lose a bit of the actual clips either side to compensate for the length of the inserted transition. The advantage of the latter would be you would keep the clip length either side of the transition intact but would lengthen your project ultimately.

iMovie 09 doesnt seem to give this option. Or does it? I want to use transitions on my finished project but dont want to extend its length in any way - can you lot help me find this 'option' if indeed, it does still exist?

Cheers y'all etc
