imovie9 themes to idvd

I have taken a lot of time "creating" a movie using the tools I have learned on imovie 9 (they do say to be creative in the tutorials) and have used one of their themes and manually done the chapters and transitions. In going to "help" on imovie 9, they tell me that idvd will not recognize chapters on imovie. Can this really be correct? I have done a test and it seems to be so and I'm left wondering why on earth I spent the time creating this movie (1hour in length) and if there really isn't some way around the problem - doesn't make sense to me that they would not have compatibility between the two and why would anyone in their right mind expect you to work on themes etc. on imovie and not be able to burn it on to a dvd? Any help would be so appreciated. Nikkers
