Import Android Live Photos to iCloud Photos

I'm pulling my entire library from Google Photos to iCloud Photos. When I add iPhone photos saved from Google Photos, it automatically repairs the photos by combining the .HEIC/.JPG with the .MP4 to re-create the live photo. Is there a way to trick it to do the same thing with photos that were taken on an Android?

Update: If there is a more elegant solution, feel free to drop it here for future searches. However, I managed to fix it in the following way:

-If you have already done a mass dump into Photos on Mac, open it, search "mvimg" and delete all.
-Open Google Photos on iPhone
-Search "mvimg"
-Select all photos one by one
-Press Save to Camera Roll

Additional tip: Don't use Checkout if you want to preserve any metadata. You have to manually download 300 or less photos at a time until you get them all. This has taken several hours of my time but keeping the metadata is worth it to me.
