Import from a camrecorder

Hi everyone, Im a long time reader, first time poster and I really hope that you guys can help me out with something.

Im thinking on buying the new MPB and one thing I would like to do with it is to import my old tapes from my camrecorder. But I don't know what kind of equipment i need for the job.

This is what my Recorder looks like;

The little input between the yellow and the black input that barley shows says "DC".

Please help somone, guees i need some cable or something

You will have to buy a converted box like the Canopus ADVC-150 or something similar that will take the analog output from your camera and give you a digital output. There are quite a few threads around with a lot of detail.
