Can you import iTunes tracks into Garage Band?
or will it not let you do that for licensing reasons?
what i want to do is take the first 60 seconds off of an iTunes track.
i got Lucky by Lucky Twice
i bought the long mix instead of the short mix (mistake) so at the beginning of the song there is this long minute of useless time. that i hate.
so i want to chop that first minute off of the track and reimport it into iTunes then rename it just like the original track and download the album artwork.

is this possible?

You mean the protected tracks form the itunes store? Nope. You would have to first burn to CD to get it into unprotected form.

If all you want is a little trim, perhaps you could get info for the track in iTunes, go over to the options tab, and play with the start time.

So after you get it on a cd, what next? I am trying to make cheer music for my daughters. This exactly what I was wondering as well

Meow was saying you can do this right in iTunes. Select that track, select 'get info' from the file menu, (or apple+I) and change the start time under the options tab. Then when you burn your awesome cheer mix, it will burn the way you clipped it. Like, fer sure.
